Request Deletion In SIGNAL
While signed in, open Account → Data → Request Deletion. You can view request status and cancel a submitted request before review begins. Deactivation is a separate option and does not delete your data.
What Is Deleted
After verification and approval, the processing workflow removes your authentication account, ordinary profile and uploaded media, Pulse history, social connections, private conversations involving you and their messages, memberships, applications, responses, participation and Passport records, tutorial preferences, and account-linked analytics. Activities you own and their dependent participation records may also be removed; support reviews shared activities before processing. Other members’ independently authored content is not automatically erased merely because it mentions you.
Limited Retention
Restricted reports, moderation evidence and decisions, deletion receipts, and security/audit records may be retained where needed for fraud prevention, safety, legal obligations, or a documented legal hold. They are not public profile content. A legal or safety hold may delay processing; support will explain applicable limits when it is lawful to do so. Ordinary account data is not retained indefinitely as a substitute for deletion.
Timing And Follow-up
Support will verify the request, review limited retention needs, and provide the expected processing timeline. Deletion is not instantaneous. Completion is recorded only after storage, ordinary database data, and the authentication account have been removed. Backups and service-provider records follow their applicable retention and deletion processes; ask support about your request or remaining retained records.
